Position Summary
Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) is critical to high-performing organisations, enabling a coordinated and streamlined end-to-end (E2E) supply and demand process. SIOP is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence across demand planning, parts production and supply, load balancing, warehouse storage and logistics to support engine build and aftermarket requirements across a complex matrix organisation.
Rolls-Royce is undertaking a multi-year transformation program to revolutionize its SIOP process, enhancing transparency, agility, and decision-making. The transformation aims to deliver connected, live data insights for executive leadership, driving optimized operational and financial outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
We are seeking a dynamic Planning manager to contribute to this transformation journey working across our Manufacturing Business Units.
Your responsibilities will include:
SIOP Transformation

Act as the interface between the central Sales and Operations Planning Team and the Manufacturing Business Units to drive forwards the SIOP transformation programme. This could involve but is not limited to training, data capture, data clean up, APS scoping and process mapping
SIOP Cycle Execution

Lead the execution of recurring SIOP planning activities, ensuring alignment across the Manufacturing Business Units. Ensuring credible supply inputs and load and capacity actions are understood.
Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Central Planning, the Value Stream teams and across the Manufacturing Business Units
Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the SIOP processes and tools within the Manufacturing Business Units
Analytics

Analyse and integrate data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights for decision-making in the Manufacturing Business Units
Position requirements
For the Planning and Control Manager Manufacturing Business Units - SIOP Transformation role, we are looking for someone who has:

A good understanding of a SIOP process (ideally in manufacturing industries) and in particular the supply element

The importance of E2E integrated planning for decision making

A good understanding of load and capacity planning

Knowledge of planning tools within ERP systems (e.g., MRP) and potential experience of using an Advanced Planning System (APS)

Proficiency in data analysis and tools and the ability to interpret and generate insights from data systems and sources

Robust organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
People & Leadership skills:

The ability to build relationships and influence others across multiple levels

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster cross-functional collaboration

Ability to lead their peers through the SIOP process
